International Day Of Persons With Disabilities

Lambton College and the City of Sarnia are hosting a series of events Thursday to mark International Day of People with Disability.

City Accessibility Coordinator Dale Mosley says its aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance,

He says they've partnered with students enrolled in Lambton College's Developmental Service Worker and Therapeutic Recreation programs in a multi-faceted event at the college

Keynote speakers include musician Jeff Poolton, who was born with Cerebral palsy, disability advocate and Western University professor Dr. Jeff Preston and Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley who will discuss life with Primordial Dwarfism.

The event runs from 11:30am until 1pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
