Port Huron Woman Killed In Dog Attack

A 22-year-old Port Huron woman has died after being attacked by a pitbull in a backyard in the Michigan city late yesterday afternoon.

Police say the victim entered a yard in the 1700-block of 10th St. for unknown reasons and was severely bitten on the neck and face.

A witness tried to free her but was unsuccessful. During the incident police say a Husky also came outside and attacked the victim.

She was transported to hospital by EMS where she died of her injuries.

The animals are now in the hands of the Port Huron Police Animal Control Officer. It's not known what will happen to them.

No charges have been laid.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
