Light Up Our Hospital Campaign Underway

Sales are underway for the annual Bluewater Health Light Up Our Hospital campaign.

Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander says donations are $5 for a single bulb, $50 for memorial bulbs and $100 for an entire strand of lights. The lights are set up on indoor and outdoor trees and in patient healing gardens.

"We know that it's difficult to be in the hospital any time of year, but especially during the holidays it can be a little bit more difficult," says Alexander.

Proceeds will be used to purchase surgical equipment not covered by government funding, including a blanket warmer and ultrasound machine.

The first lighting ceremony is Thursday, December 10 at 6pm and the displays will be lit from 6pm-10pm nightly until the new year.
