Hometown Hockey Jobs

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour is fast approaching and they are still in need of workers for paid and volunteer positions.

The tour, presented by Scotiabank, rolls into Sarnia this Saturday and Sunday.

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton spokesperson Vicky Praill says paid positions can make $16 per hour.

Praill says there are volunteer positions available as well and those interested can contact Tourism Sarnia-Lambton (519-336-3232).

The weekend festival, at Front and George St., will feature live music and interactive activities including an autograph area featuring local hockey alumni.

The filmed segment with Hometown Hockey host Ron MacLean will air during the Red Wings/Flames game in Detroit, December 20.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
