Kettle Campaign Donations Low

The Salvation Army says Christmas kettle donations are lower than expected for this time of year.

Red kettles have been set up throughout the community since November 19th and have only raised about $69,000 of their $118,000 goal.

Captain Nancy Braye says just days away from Christmas, they hope to raise more than $49,000.

"The reason why we have our red kettles out during the Christmas season is not simply to fund our Christmas efforts, but its to go toward funding our family services and food bank operations all throughout the year" says Braye.

Donations can be made at several kettle locations throughout the community until Christmas Eve.
