Man With Lambton Ties Faces Sex Charges

A 54-year-old London man with ties to Lambton county is facing sex-related charges after a two month investigation by the Huron OPP Crime Unit.

Kelly Douglas Laycox has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, after police identified five alleged victims dating back to 1976.

They say the accused has been involved with various churches in Huron County and has taught martial arts and meditation to children.

Lambton OPP Constable Travis Parsons says Laycox has historical ties to Lambton county and there could be other victims locally.

The accused is in custody pending a bail hearing January 25, 2016 in Goderich.

Anyone with information is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
