Union Gas To Move Natural Gas

There's some good news for Union Gas customers in Ontario. Company spokesperson Andrea Stass says they've received Ontario Energy Board approval for a 15-year contract to move natural gas from the Appalachian region to it's Dawn Hub. It would be done via the NEXUS Transmission system beginning in November of 2017. "What that means for customers is this gas is less expensive and it will save customers about $700-million over the course of the contract, compared to the current contracts we have today." says Stass. The proposed NEXUS pipeline project being developed by Spectra Energy and DTE Energy will ship gas from Ohio and Pennsylvania to the Dawn Hub 22 miles southeast of Sarnia. The growing storage and transportation site is a world class natural gas trading hub.
