Impaired Drivers Arrested In Weekend Crashes

Lambton OPP have laid charges in a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Police, EMS and Warwick firefighters were called to the scene at Bethal Rd. near Birnam Line around 2:15am. Upon arrival officers spoke with the male driver and determined he was impaired.

He was arrested and then transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Breath samples indicated he was over the legal limit.

The 21-year-old Innisfil man is charged with driving while impaired, driving with an unsealed container of liquor , exceeding 80 mgs of blood alcohol content and youth driver with b.a.c over zero.

He's scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on January 11, 2016.

A 21-year-old male passenger was also taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Late Friday, just after 5:30pm, Sarnia police say a three vehicle crash resulted in one of the drivers being charged with impaired driving. The crash occurred at Finch Dr. and Wellington St.

A 26-year-old Sarnia man was charged.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
