Rail Yard Expansion At Nova

Nova Chemicals is expanding it's Moore site rail storage area, building 200 more spots for on-site rail cars in a project that should wrap up in 2017.

St. Clair Township Mayor Steve Arnold says they granted the company permission to get started on some pre-work until a site plan is drawn up.

Nova says it will make a decision on the location of a new $1-billion polyethylene plant in 2017.

The company has already spent that amount on local capital projects and infrastructure work to access ethane feedstock from shale gas regions of the eastern U.S.
