Hit and Run Driver Sought

Sarnia police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision early Tuesday morning in the city's north end. Police say a brown, 2005 two-door GMC Jimmy left westbound Rosedale Ave. near Laidlaw Pl. and struck a tree just after 6am. The male driver fled on foot, leaving behind a 20-year-old female passenger who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The male is described as white, of slim build and was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt. He may have sustained facial injuries in the collision and police are concerned about his well-being. New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
