Charges Laid In Road Rage Incident

Two men have been charged following a road rage incident in Sarnia on Tuesday.

At around 5pm, a police officer stopped at the stop sign at Devine St. and Vidal St., saw two vehicles zoom past him. Police allege the vehicles were speeding at over 100 km/h, passing and weaving in and out of other cars on the residential portion of Vidal St., which is posted at 50 km/h.

When the two vehicles stopped at the next light, police say the two drivers began yelling at each other. It was later determined the two had begun their verbal dispute in the downtown area.

The drivers, both in their 20s, were charged with racing and both had their vehicles and licenses suspended for seven days.
