Take It Easy, Take The Bus

Sarnia Transit will once again be offering free bus ride services New Year's eve.

A total of 11 buses will be running on a holiday schedule from 6:15pm until 2:15am.

Buses will be parked from midnight until 12:30am to allow for drivers to have a bite to eat.

A full route schedule can be found through the City of Sarnia website here.

Friday is a holiday and there will be no regular Sarnia Transit or postal service.

Banks and trust companies, beer and LCBO outlets, most retail stores and government offices at all three levels are closed New Year's Day.

Friday's garbage collection in Sarnia is delayed until Saturday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
