Charges Laid In Break And Enter

Two Sarnia residents are spending the last day of 2015 in jail.

Police responded to an alarm at the former St. Patrick's High School on East St. just after 2am Thursday morning.

Police say two people were apprehended in the shop area, allegedly stealing copper piping, school supplies and assorted other items.

A 21-year-old woman has been charged with break and enter and possession of break in instruments.

A 26-year-old man faces the same charges plus breach of probation

Their names will not be released pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
