Vehicle on Hwy. 402 Clocked At 175 km/h

A 24-year-old Sarnia man is charged after Lambton OPP clocked a vehicle on Hwy. 402 travelling at 175 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

Police say a westbound Chev Impala was pulled over after 10pm Thursday while stationary radar was being conducted within the city limits.

Richard Kersey is charged with racing a motor vehicle.

The driver's licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded for seven days.

If convicted, the driver is liable to a fine of not less than $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or to both.
