Local Celebs 'Hustle' For Alzheimer's

Local celebrities and pro partners waltzed, hip-hopped and hustled for Alzheimer's at Pt. Edward's Holiday Inn Saturday night.

Organizers were hoping the sold out "Dancing With The Stars" gala would raise $20,000 in support of the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton.

Six teams competed in a lively competition and were judged by a three member panel of dance experts and the audience at large.

BlackburnNews.com announcer and reporter Stephanie Chaves and pro partner Brian Slaughter were crowned champions.

Event co-ordinator Eve Morgan was very pleased with the success of the event and says proceeds will stay in the community.

“Every dollar that is raised from this event is going directly to Alzheimer Sarnia-Lambton,” says Morgan. “It stays right here in our community to go help support outreach, the mindful music program and our day programs as well.”
