A Bright's Grove man was involved in a crash southwest of Port Huron Monday evening that claimed the life of a 17-year-old Michigan girl. The sheriff's office says a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the corner of Wadhams Rd. and Fred Moore Hwy. around 5pm and was hit broadside by a vehicle being driven by an unidentified 63-year-old Bright's Grove man. Grace Achatz was pronounced dead at St. John River District Hospital. The Bright's Grove man and a passenger, a 79-year-old Columbus Twp. man were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries. The investigation continues.
