More Help Needed To Welcome Syrian Family

Organizers behind bringing a family of Syrian refugees to the area are looking for more volunteers and funding to help them transition into the community.

Volunteer Leah Butler says the family of six could arrive as early as March, and they want to make sure everything is in place for when they arrive. "We have a house in Petrolia, now we're looking for furniture and other things of that nature." Butler says funding requirements to bring another refugee family to Sarnia will be outlined at the meeting.

The is a meeting at 7pm Monday night at Christ Church in Petrolia.
