Sarnia Police Kept Busy Over Weekend

There were nearly a dozen motor vehicle crashes in Sarnia over the weekend.

Constable John Sottosanti says police responded to 11 incidents ranging from parking lot collisions to one involving a vehicle and cyclist. He says there were no injuries reported.

Constable Sottosanti says officers also conducted several traffic stops.

"Officers will also keep an eye out in regards to people not driving properly, or doing things out of the ordinary while driving," says Sottosanti.

"We had officers stop approximately 16 vehicles over the weekend and approximately 14 provincial offence notices were issued."

In total, city police responded to 135 calls for service which also included two impaired driving incidents and 18 domestic/family dispute calls.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
