Record February Warmth

The previous record high temperature in Sarnia for February 3 has been smashed.

The mercury at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport hit 14 C (57 F) at noon Wednesday, shattering the mark of 7.9 C that had stood since 1991.

A high of 1 C (34 F) is forecast for Thursday.

New record high temperatures were being set across southern Ontario Wednesday.

The city of Kitchener saw the earliest occurrence of 10 C or higher on record.
