Firearms Seized At Blue Water Bridge

The Canada Border Services Agency in Southern Ontario Region says a total of 115 firearms were seized at area border crossings in the last half of 2015.

22 firearms and 35 prohibited weapons and devices were seized at the Blue Water Bridge from July 1st to December 31st last year.

Officers also conducted nine currency seizures totalling over $777,000 at the border crossing.

In Windsor, border guards seized 59 firearms, 121 prohibited weapons and $430,470 in currency seizures including the casino winnings of a Toronto man who failed to declare it.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
