The first new hotel built in this area in the last two decades is now open for business.
The six-storey, 95-room Hampton Inn by Hilton is located at 1492 Venetian Blvd. in Point Edward.
It features a 24-hour business centre and flexible meeting space that can accommodate up to 150 people, a fitness centre and heated indoor pool.
Vrancor Director of Operations Peter Tosh says the community response has been exceptional.
"We're just super excited. We've been embraced by the Sarnia and Pt. Edward area, the chamber of commerce and tourism has opened arms for us, and city officials," he says. "So we're just super excited to be open and ready for business."
The new Hampton Inn employs 25.
