Unique Valentine's Day Idea For Wine Lovers

Lambton County's only grape winery is offering a unique Valentine's Day gift this weekend.

Alton Farms Estate Winery is holding a tasting event for the release of its rare Lucy Kuhlmann red wine.

Owner Anne Alton says the premium full bodied, dark ruby red wine sells out very quickly.

"We love it, and we get wonderful response from people who buy it," says Alton.

"We have a waiting list, we call it the 'I Love Lucy Club' and we get emails now and again saying 'Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet?' So it's now ready, yay!"

The winery on Aberarder Line in Plympton-Wyoming will be open from noon to 6pm Saturday and Sunday for tastings.

Alton Farms introduced a VQA line of wines in late 2015 and is currently pushing to increase sales at local farmer's markets and six area restaurants.
