Family Day Freezing Drizzle Advisory

Environment Canada issued a Freezing Drizzle Advisory Family Day afternoon.

Freezing drizzle has been reported in several locations across southwestern Ontario.

A weak disturbance affecting the region is producing a combination of light snow and areas of freezing drizzle. The national weather agency says conditions are forecast to linger for much of the day and into the evening hours. As a result a light glazing of ice could make untreated roads and walkways slippery in spots.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
