Art Gallery Closed Until March 4

The Judith and Norman ALIX Art Gallery is closed until March 4.

The downtown gallery will be closed to allow for the dismantling of the Masterworks exhibit and preparation for the upcoming exhibit.

The Masterworks exhibition attracted over 18,000 visitors from across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, B-C, the U.S. and even Australia to Sarnia.

The event was extended for one week which saw over 1,700 people walk through the gallery.

Family day was the final opportunity to take in the exhibit.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
