UPDATE: Police Investigate London Line Stabbing

A 28-year-old Sarnia man is facing numerous charges, including attempted murder, after a stabbing incident early Tuesday morning.

Police say they responded to a disturbance call in the 1900 block of London Line around 4:10am and found a 76-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was treated at hospital, along with another man, and later released.

Constable John Sottosanti says it was determined that it was an isolated incident and that both men knew each other.

"The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Branch has since taken over the investigation and has charged a 28-year-old suspect with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and three counts of breaching his probation," says Sottosanti.

Police say Jessie Douglas Reid has been remanded in custody and is to appear in court by video Thursday, February 18.
