Man Charged In Child Pornography Investigation

A five month investigation has lead to child pornography related charges being laid against a Sarnia man. City police say in October 2015 a joint investigation was launched by the OPP and Sarnia Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Units along with Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch. Sarnia police say a suspect was identified accessing child pornography on the internet and allegedly making the videos available to other users online. Constable John Sottosanti says a 68-year-old Sarnia man was arrested on February 5. Sottosanti says he's charged with with possession of child pornography and making available child pornography. He's scheduled to appear in court on March 15. His name has not been released.

Sottosanti says the Sarnia Police ICE Unit is a partner of Ontario's Provincial Strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
