Updated: Pedestrian Injured In Collision

A 53-year-old Sarnia man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a pick-up truck.

Sarnia police Constable John Sottosanti says the incident happened just after 6:30am at Christina St. S and Johnston St.

The pedestrian was initially taken to Bluewater Health before being moved to London hospital for treatment.

Johnston St. was closed at Christina St. S, and Front St. was blocked off at Wellington St. for about six hours. The roads reopened by 1pm.

Sottosanti says anyone who may have witnessed the collision or was in the area at the time is asked to contact Constable Mark Berger at 519-344-8861 ext. 6156.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
