Plympton-Wyoming Gets New Beach

Plympton-Wyoming council hopes to have the beach at the former Lamrecton Camp open to the public this summer.

Mayor Lonny Napper says the board could no longer viably run the facility so gave the beachfront property east of Bright's Grove to the municipality last fall.

"It's a good size beautiful beach" says Napper. "I know there's concerns from the neighbours nearby there and we will address that. It's not often a municipality gets such a beachfront property."

Staff is preparing a report on what needs to be done to open the beach this summer including parking consideration.
