Registration Open For Spelling Bee

Students in Grades 3-8 have until February 24 to register for the Organization for Literacy in Lambton's annual spelling bee.

Spokesperson Judith Farris says even in this technological age where computers can spell for you, kids still love the challenge of stringing letters together correctly.

"It challenges students, especially students that are interested in reading, writing, and spelling. It's a way that students can challenge themselves in a social environment to spell at their best level," she says.

The spelling bee will be held on March 9 at the Sarnia Public Library Auditorium.

Students can register through their schools.

Last year there were 60 participants.
