Host Families Needed

International students will be calling Sarnia-Lambton home this spring.

Relationship Manager with Canada Homestay Network Karissa Quinlan says they have teamed up with the Lambton-Kent District School Board to arrange homestay host families for students coming to study in Sarnia, Forest and Petrolia.

Quinlan says they are hoping to get between 20 and 50 host families signed up.

"In March we are welcoming a group from Mexico, that will be seven students plus two chaperones for that particular group," says Quinlan.

"In September it will be a larger intake of students but we are not sure of the exact number at this time."

She says host families are given a monthly stipend to cover additional costs and meals.

Residents interested in hosting a student can apply online at www.whyihost.ca.
