Money Available For Local Projects

The Judith and Norman Alix Foundation has started accepting funding applications for local projects.

Vice President Adam Alix says since inception the foundation has advanced about $4-million for ten local projects.

He expects to see a large response since they extended the application period.

"From our last intake we had roughly ten applications come through and we selected three of those for funding, so we're expecting more for this application period," says Alix.

He says they are looking to fund operational projects in Lambton County that strengthen the community.

In the past they've provided funding for the Withdrawal Management Services at Bluewater Health, the installation of artificial turf at Norm Perry Park in Sarnia and the construction of the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, just to name a few.

They are taking applications until April 1. More information on how to apply can be found at www.jnaf.ca.
