Loaded Gun Found In Vehicle In Forest

Lambton OPP say an 85-year-old Idaho man is charged after a concealed, loaded firearm was found in a parked vehicle in Forest last Tuesday. At about 2:30pm February 23 police responded to a call about a male party in possession of a firearm. Police say a suspect was found in a parked motor vehicle on King St. Officers seized a loaded, Smith and Wesson, 5-shot, Lady Smith revolver. John Frederick Swanstrom is charged with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and careless use of a firearm. He's to appear in Sarnia court April 4, 2016. OPP say they take very seriously the safe storage and transportation of all weapons, including firearms.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
