Chychrun Named Top OHL D-Man For February

Sarnia Sting defenceman Jakob Chychrun has been named the OHL's Defenceman of the Month for February.

The NHL draft eligible prospect scored twice and added 11 assists for 13 points in 13 games.

Chychrun is fourth among OHL defencemen with 45 points (10-35-45) in 57 games this season, with seven of his 10 goals coming on the powerplay.

He was named to the OHL's first all-rookie team last season after scoring 16 goals, 17 assists and 33 points in 42 games.

The Sarnia Sting's next game is Thursday night at home to the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds on CHOK.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
