Six Charged With Drug Trafficking

Six Sarnia residents were arrested Wednesday night in a drug bust, including two youths.

Sarnia police Constable John Sottosanti says the Vice Unit executed a search warrant a home in the 400-block of Devine St. around 10pm.

"While inside the residence two [youths] and four adults were located and subsequently arrested," says Sottosanti. "During the search various forms of drug paraphernalia were located along with a quantity of methamphetamine valued at over $1,800, over $1,700 in cash along with a quantity of marijuana."

The two youths face drug trafficking charges.

Also charged with trafficking are a 38-year-old man arrested on an outstanding warrant, a 30-year-old male, a 24-year-old male, and a 25-year-old woman.

Three of the six also face charges of breaching various conditions.

They were all being held pending bail hearings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
