Arrests Made In Skid Steer Thefts

Sarnia police have made a pair of arrests in connection with the theft of two Toro Dingo skid steers from a Bright's Grove property in late December.

Constable John Sottosanti says the combined value of the items was over $60,000.

"Since then, members of the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation division have located one of the skid steers. It had been sold to a business in Strathroy," he says. "Secondary to further investigation, two suspects were arrested in relation to the theft."

Sottosanti says police remain on the lookout for the other skid steer as the investigation continues.

Zackary Fiddick, 19, of Enniskillen was being held for a bail hearing on two counts each of theft over $5,000, and fraud over $5,000 as well as other charges.

The other accused is a young offender, whose name can't be released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.
