UPDATE: Wind Warning Ends, Hydro Being Restored

Environment Canada has ended a wind warning for Sarnia-Lambton.

The weather agency was tracking a fast moving line of showers and the odd thunderstorm moving across portions of southeast Michigan on Wednesday. They were on track to sweep into southern Ontario around southern Lake Huron.

Brief wind gusts of up to 100km/h were expected in these showers. The wind warning was ended around 4:15pm as the storms moved out of the region.

The heavy winds and rain prompted some power outages in central and east Sarnia and parts of Lambton county. Businesses on London Rd., including Lambton Mall, had service disrupted for about an hour but power was restored around 3:50pm.

Hydro One says power was also out to 50 homes in Petrolia, with the estimated restoration time set for 6:30pm Wednesday evening.
