Sting Players Recognized In OHL Coaches Poll

A number of Sarnia Sting players are being recognized in this year's Ontario Hockey League Coaches Poll.

Coaches around the league cast their ballots, with voting being broken down by conference.

Pavel Zacha was voted the top penalty killer in the Western Conference, and has the second hardest shot. Defenceman Jeff King was named the second most underrated player in the west, with fellow rearguard Josh Jacobs tied for the second hardest worker.

Jordan Kyrou was voted the third best skater in the conference, and Travis Konecny has the third hardest shot.

New Sting netminder Charlie Graham came in third place as the best shootout goalie.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
