Animal Farm Closed For Maintenance

The Seaway Kiwanis Children's animal farm will be closed from Monday to Friday to allow for extensive maintenance work.

The City of Sarnia says all animals will be temporarily removed from the site and relocated to the Sarnia Humane Society and its partners.

Some of the maintenance work includes power washing and painting the barn's interior, installing signage, barn repairs and replacements, and the installation of a new incubation area.

The animal farm will be reopened to the public just in time for Easter in the Park Saturday morning.

The work is in accordance with the National Standards of Care for Farm Animals and is completed within the approved operations budget, with help from donations of the Seaway Kiwanis and Sarnia Humane Society.
