Kelch Remains United Way Campaign Chair

Richard Kelch will be back for a third term as campaign chair for the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton.

The announcement was made at the United Way's annual General Meeting Wednesday.

The United Way raised $2 million during its 2015 campaign, surpassing its $1.95 million dollar objective.

The newly elected board will set the 2016 goal this summer.

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 37 programs through 20 member agencies in three target areas.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
