Pregnant Woman Accused Of Dealing Fentanyl

A 29-year-old pregnant woman is in Sarnia police custody following an investigation by Vice Unit officers for allegedly trafficking in Fentanyl.

Police say a search of the suspect around 5:15pm Wednesday in the 500-block of Exmouth St., revealed Fentanyl with a street value of over $900, and a large quantity of cash.

The accused is charged with possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and was being held pending a bail hearing.

Her name has not yet been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
