Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

The fourth annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is on Saturday, April 9 at Lambton Mall.

Men will be showing off their legs in red high heels to raise money and awareness for domestic violence.

Spokesperson Angie Marks says it's hoped 100 men will participate in the event.

"We have shoes that are actually made for mens feet," says Marks. "They're certainly more comfortable than wearing any other high heels, but we also recognize that not all mean are able to wear those heels so we have other options like flip-flops.

"The heels are just a very playful way to introduce this walk and have people walk for the cause."

Marks says they are hoping to raise $10,000 for the Women's Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton and the Sexual Assault Survivors Centre.

Registration for the event begins at 11am with the walk getting underway at noon.
