Spike In Weekend Thefts

There were ten thefts reported in the city over the weekend.

Sarnia police Constable John Sottosanti says majority of those were from vehicles.

"Please remember to lock your vehicles when you come in at night and secure your windows," says Sottosanti.

If possible either turn on your outdoor porch lights or have sensors on your lights so when somebody passes by they will activate."

He says Sarnia police often notice a spike in mischief, thefts and break and enters during the warmer months.

In total, police responded to 150 calls for service since Friday including six motor vehicle crashes, 13 traffic complaints and seven domestic disputes.
