Dip in Lake Huron Fundraiser For Cancer

The Canadian Cancer Society is raising money at a unique event Saturday.

The Daffodil Dip will see participants go for a quick swim in the cold waters of Lake Huron at the Riding Club.

Community Fundraising Specialist Paula McKinlay says registration is $50 ahead of time or $60 the day of.

She says it will be an eventful day by the water.

"[At] 10am we're going to do our registration, make sure everybody gets their complimentary t-shirt, but at 11am we're going to get started. We've got some survivors coming out, I would love to start with them," she says. "Afterwards, everyone's invited back in, there's saunas, hot showers, there will be some food and entertainment back at the Riding Club afterwards."

They're hoping to raise $10,000 for the Cancer Society.
