Cross Border Emergency Testing

A series of emergency management scenarios will be held across the border this week to test emergency response and information sharing capabilities.

Personnel from the City of Sarnia, Lambton County, St. Clair County, and Ontario 211 will participate in the fourth Canada/U.S. Enhanced Resiliency Experiment (CAUSE IV).

One scenario will test the transfer of medical patients across the border. Another will test how emergency officials on both sides communicate to each other using various web-based technologies.

A full report will be provided following the experiment.

It's sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, the Defence Research and Development Canada's Centre for Security Science, and the Science and Technology Directorate.
