Police Release Name Of Woman Charged In Recent Homicide

Sarnia police have released the name of a woman charged in connection with the most recent homicide in the city. Amelia Walker, 30, of Sarnia was arrested Friday in the death of 28-year-old Raymond Thomas White. White's body was found in a unit in a single-storey row house in the 400-block of Kathleen Ave. in the early morning hours of Tuesday April 19. He was pronounced dead in hospital. Constable John Sottosanti says Walker is charged with second degree murder. She is scheduled to appear in court via video May 5.

The death of White was the second homicide in less than a month in Sarnia. Police continue to investigate the murder of Jonathan Patrick Pike, 26, of Sarnia, whose body was found in a wooded area west of Tashmoo Ave. in the early morning hours, March 25.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
