Brick Hurling Man Arrested

Sarnia police say a witness helped officers locate a man who was allegedly throwing bricks from the roof of a downtown building Tuesday.

Police say around 2:45pm, a man was seen hurling bricks, smashing a residential window from the roof of a building in the 100-block of Front St.

The witness contacted police and followed a 53-year-old man until officers were able to arrest him in the area of Christina St. and Wellington St.

He's charged with mischief and was released on a promise to appear.

Police commend members of the public for reporting crime but also caution they should never get involved physically with any suspects.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
