Brock St. House Fire Cause Under Investigation

No injuries are reported in a southend house fire last night.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 400-block of Brock St. South near Campbell St., just before 9:30pm.

Public Education Officer Mike there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the home when crews arrived.

"Three stations automatically respond to any structure fire," says Otis. "Fifteen firefighters total were on scene and Sarnia Fire and Rescue is still on scene cleaning up and determining the cause."

Otis says crews managed to quickly knock down the fire, preventing damage from spreading to a nearby home.

Damage is estimated at $100,000. No injuries are reported.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
