Respected Former Medical Officer Of Health Dies

A respected, long time former Lambton medical officer of health has died.

Dr. Lucy Duncan died Monday in London at the age of 92.

Duncan was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1956 with her daughter and husband, David Duncan.

They lived in Parry Sound and Ottawa before coming to Sarnia.

Lucy Duncan was the county's top public health official from 1973 to 1988.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 20 at 11am at Grace United Church in Sarnia.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
