500 Students Face Suspension Over Immunization Records

About 500 local elementary students have until the end of Friday to update their immunization records or face suspension.

Lambton Public Health Supervisor Erin Courtney says children with outdated records will be suspended from school as of Monday.

"You can still send your records in online at www.lambtonhealth.on.ca, you can email them to us at immunization@county-lambton.on.ca, you can call us, or you can drop in," she says.

All children, 18 years and younger, require the vaccines against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, mumps, rubella, measels, meningitis, whooping cough and chicken pox.

Students who still require a vaccination can visit the Point Edward office before 4:30pm Friday afternoon.
