Man Refuses Identification In Stolen Vehicle Investigation

A man is refusing to identify himself and his address after Sarnia police made an arrest in a stolen vehicle investigation.

Officers were notified of a vehicle parked in the London Line area around 8:30am on Tuesday, that had signs instead of proper license plates. The identification number had also been removed from the vehicle.

A man, in his 50s, was arrested after approaching the vehicle and retrieving a piece of paper from it.

He would not properly identify himself or any other information such as his address that is required upon arrest. He continued to refuse identification during a bail hearing at court on Tuesday.

Sarnia police say the male's release is still pending proper identification to the courts.

It's possible the man will face additional charges as the investigation continues.
